One Line A Day Journal

Have you ever stumbled upon one of your old diaries and just loved reading it through?

As a child, and as a teenager, I used to LOVE keeping diaries and writing every little detail about my day. However as I grew up, I didn't see the use and therefore just stopped writing. I recently came across one of my old diaries and I enjoyed reading through it so much, to see what the younger version of myself did everyday and the thoughts that crossed my mind.

That got me thinking that I really need to start writing again. But knowing myself well enough, I'll be hooked on writing for a couple of weeks and eventually forget to continue. I was about to buy a diary to try it out nonetheless, but thankfully stumbled upon this.

The 'One Line a Day' journal. The idea is that you basically write one line (or in my case a couple of lines) everyday for 5 years that will sum up your day. In this way, writing in the journal only takes a couple of minutes and yet, I'm still jotting down thoughts and events that are eventually going to become beautiful memories.

For all of you who enjoy writing every so often, and who, like me, would love to keep memories for as long as possible, this journal is PERFECT. I've also slipped a few polaroid pictures and plane tickets in there, just to remind myself of more lovely adventures I've embarked upon.

Do any of you still keep a diary?

Zoeva Rose Gold Makeup Brushes

I have one word for Zoeva makeup brushes - GORGEOUS. From the packaging to the quality, everything about these brushes is simply amazing.
I had wanted to try these brushes for quite a while, after hearing so many great reviews. You get 8 brushes in total, and so far, I've got a lot of use out of every one. The brushes are soft, feel so luxurious and apply make up so well. Also, these brushes, being rose gold, look so beautiful on my dressing table. They come in a little brown leather pouch, which looks stunning and is really useful to carry the brushes (or anything else) around with you.
My favourite brush is definitely the 227, which is the Luxe Soft Definer brush. It blends eyeshadow on the lid very well, and is soft to the touch. This one is very similar to the Mac 217 and in my opinion, gets the job done just as well.
I also really love the 127 brush, which is the Luxe Sheer Cheek brush. I find that the angled shape makes it so easy to apply both blusher as well as bronzer. Again, this brush is so soft and feels luxurious on the skin. It picks up product well, and blends evenly too.
All of the other brushes are great too and since I got them, I haven't used anything else. The quality of the brushes is fantastic, and are so easy to work with. They're affordable too (€65).
Have you tried Zoeva makeup brushes?

My March Resolutions

Hi everybody :)

Sorry I haven't written in a while. I've just been so busy with University and assignments lately that I had to delay posting another blog.

So, March is here. The 3rd month. Meaning we're a quarter of the way in to the year 2015. Wow.

I know most people make their resolutions on New Year's day so that they can start the year afresh. I did too, and some of those resolutions included travelling more, cutting my hair short and most importantly, starting this blog. I'm trying to keep to those and sincerely hope that on the 1st January 2016 I would feel accomplished in those areas.

However, a couple of days ago, whilst doing some work and feeling super stressed, I thought that I was going to have to make a few more resolutions for the month of March. These resolutions, more than actual goals, are more like ways to relax myself and not let stress take over.  So here they are:

1. Give more importance to the people in your life that mean a lot to you: Instead of just texting my best friends, or locking myself in my room at home, I really find that spending time with the people that you love can help you feel better.

2. Spend more time doing what you love: As much as I enjoy studying, and I'm looking forward to graduating as a lawyer, there are just so many other things that I love doing. Instead of spending the majority of my time focusing on my studies, I think it would be helpful to divide the time between studying and doing the things I love (such as writing more blog posts)

3. Find the silver lining: When things get a bit tough, it's often hard to find the good in it and often, I feel like I'm on the verge of giving up. Lately, however, I've felt that if I try to find the silver lining to my grey cloud, i.e. if I manage to focus on the good part of whatever I'm doing, then that might be the push I need to hang in there and not give up.

I've actually found that these tips have helped me in the past, so this month I'm really going to try focus on them. If any one else is feeling stressed out, or may sometimes feel stressed with work/school or anything else, try apply these and see how they work out for you.
